what can i use to clean my gibson firebird guitar?

what house hold cleaners? or can i use vinegar or virgin oil ? and can i use a sock or microfiber cloth?
i am on a budget so i cant afford a guitar cleaner at the moment.

You’re on such an intense budget that you can’t splurge $5 for a bottle of Ernie Ball Guitar Polish (w/ cloth) for the body:

If you’ve got some grime on your fretboard some light rubbing with some ultra-fine steel wool will take care of that (just make sure that you do it either with all the strings off or if you keep the strings on then you have to replace them afterwards, either way you need a new set of strings).

EDIT: And yeah, a sock’ll work fine. Your basic cleaners like Windex won’t hurt the body (they’ll do but they won’t do great), but when it comes to the neck I suggest an actual instrument cleaner like Axe Wax. But seriously, for the cleaners (that you can use over and over for months/years) and the strings that’s under $20. You’re telling me your guitar isn’t worth that?
